Dizzee signs up for Inverness gig
Scottish hip hop fans may well be keeping a night free in the near future, as it has emerged that on of the UK's biggest rap stars will play at Inverness this summer.
Mercury Prize-winner Dizzee Rascal has signed up to play at the Ironworks on August 20th.
It is one of only two Scottish gigs that the cult rapper has lined up for this summer.
Widely perceived as the UK's leading hip hop artist and champion of the underground scene, Dizzee is the latest big name to appear in the Highland capital, which saw Fatboy Slim perform last month.
In 2003 and aged just 19, Dizzee became the youngest person to be awarded the prestigious Mercury Music Prize.
A spokesman for The Ironworks said: "We are delighted that Dizzee Rascal is coming to play the venue, and this is only one of two Scottish shows he is doing over the summer so fans are advised to get tickets while they can."
